More capacity than an standard day pack and with spinal support for day hikes or a "2nd" pack on the trail. Large zippered main pockets are 18L x 12H x 6 D with flat outside zippered pocket and additional map pockets on each side. 2 inches of foam on each side to keep weight off of the spine.
